  It's got good canadian Chinese food. They go out of their way to make my son special dishes because hes picky as heck! Prices are a little higher then id like if you order by the dish. But the combos and specials are good value... price on dishes and a less than attractive ambiance are the only issues. But its good food and good service. What more is there really...? I give it 5 stars for an economy chinease restaurant in a small town. Its not a 5 star resteraunt in the traditional sense. It's been slinging sweet and sour chicken balls since the early 80's or longer even! Cant live that long in a financially tight community like Sechelt without being dependable and great to your customers!!!

  My wife and I have a tradition on New Year's Eve of ordering Chinese takeout and doing absolutely nothing. It's amazing. This year we decided to spend the night in an Airbnb in Roberts Creek. On a coin toss we chose Golden City and arrived coincidentally right on time for Sunday buffet. The host was a happy dude. Our waitress even came around with a list of buffet items that contain gluten so I could avoid them.

  Don't judge a book by its cover! I checked reviews online before we selected this restaurant, but then we pulled up and I started to second-guess.

  My Mom & I also my Aunts, my Uncles & Grandma always enjoyed the Lo Mein from the Golden City it was always so good. We also like the others dishes as well.
